Extreme Home Makeover – Morris Family

Minnesota Exteriors Takes on the Project for the Morris Family On ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Hundreds of people gathered on Friday, October 2^nd to surprise the Morris family with a new home compliments of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Sandy Morris is an important part of her community and provides day care for many children in St. Paul. Unfortunately her 100 year old home (the home she grew up in) is in disrepair and unless it is fixed, Sandy will be unable to renew her daycare license this winter.

To the people in Sandy’s neighborhood she is more than just a day care provider. She is a teacher and a friend. Sandy lives with her 2 children and is known many who know her as “Tia Sandy”, or Aunt Sandy in Spanish. She gave up a promising teaching career 14 years ago when she herself could not find quality day care for her daughter. Since then she has been providing a safe learning environment for the children of St. Paul.

It will be a lot of long hours and hard work but the reward will be seeing the joy on the faces of the Morris family after hearing “Move that bus!” This is an exciting experience and would encourage you to stop by and witness for yourself the great work that is going on. Minnesota Exteriors will be installing windows on Monday, October 5th from 5pm-8:30pm and siding on Tuesday, October 6th from 3am-4pm (times are tentative).
